The more I navigate life, the more I am realising that life has a way of ejecting us from places we have outgrown.
Whether it is that relationship that ends (not by choice) or that job that makes you redundant.
Life is bigger than us. Our destinies go far beyond where our eyes and hearts have envisioned.
Rachel Francis-Nweke
Sometimes the pain of rejection forces us back into toxic environments that are too small for where we are going.
Things can get so uncomfortable for us, but yet we stay and try and encourage ourselves that we have ‘got this’.

Often as women we accept salaries below the value that we add to jobs. Because it is easier to accept this than to demand what we deserve.
Becoming a mum has opened my eyes to the pain of walking away from people that I love and work environments that worked well for me in my previous chapter.

But with each new chapter..a new version of me emerges and it tends to be a version that has shown immense strength and growth. This has often qualified me to enter the new chapter anyway to be honest, and led me to lose things I cherish but gain new opportunities and relationships.
As I write this, i encourage myself to go and get what is mine. Leave my comfort zone behind and say goodbye to places I have outgrown while embracing new concepts and opportunities that are more in line with my progress now.
Be encouraged. What is yours will always be yours. Try not to look back at what you have lost..instead view it as space for something new.
